2018

In the last month or three, we had the announcement of the 2018 NFL schedule. Now that we know who will play whom and when, we can start predicting wins and losses.

2017 Summary

Last year, I predicted that

Detroit Lions = 9-7
Miami Dolphins = 6-10
New York Jets = 5-11

How they actually did was

Detroit Lions = 10-6
Miami Dolphins = 11-5
New York Jets = 3-13

Other than Miami, the predictions were close.

How about the methods overall?

This was probably the best year yet – MPWLS got 6 right and I don’t remember getting 6 right before. I’m not going to bother checking, either. But the prize this year goes to ITPLS for correctly predicting the Browns’ 0-16 season.

2018

I’m still not used to having teams in LA. I hope the Raiders stay put a little longer, so I don’t have to change my template again.

Enjoy the predictions, but there are caveats: if any major player gets injured, that team’s projected results are void. Also, if any roster has changed from last year, that team’s projected results are void. Same thing with new coaches.

As for Gad, raiders shall raid him, But he will raid at their heels.
